Abstract

The relationship between the clinical signs of functional dyspepsia and the
presence of H. pylori in the gastric mucosa of such patients has been studied for a long time.
Clinical signs of functional dyspepsia in H. pylori-positive patients have been reported to
vary more than in individuals with H. pylori-negative. In addition, a correlation was
found between the expression of pain in the thoracic region in patients with functional
dyspepsia and the presence of H. pylori in the gastric mucosa. Recent studies have shown
that the oral cavity can serve as a reserve of H. pylori infection in the human body, while
the persistence of Helicobacter pylori in dental pockets, saliva, and tooth decay associated
with the presence in the intestinal mucosa of the fingers.
